I'm Clare and the creator of Kernowfornia Soul® Candle Co.  After years of travelling to California with my husband Dr. Ian Hendy who is also a World renowned Marine Biologist, we made Cornwall “Kernow” our home.  Kernowfornia Soul® was born from our love of the ocean and the striking similarities between two coasts close to our hearts—the rugged beauty of Cornwall and California. United by their surfing culture, breathtaking landscapes, and nostalgic vibes, these places inspired us to craft something meaningful.

But Kernowfornia Soul® is more than a candle company—it’s a pledge to protect the oceans we love. For every scented candle you purchase, we donate a portion of our profits to restoring marine habitats, specifically focusing on regenerating kelp forests. These underwater ecosystems are vital in the fight against climate change, offering nature-based solutions for healthier oceans and a healthier planet.
